Luke shifted slightly to hear better, but in doing so, he also made a careless mistake. He unknowingly stood balanced on some loose rocks.

And in turning his body, his foot slipped on one of them, making the rock skid out from under him. Luke fell backward, landing hard in the dirt with a heavy thud.
