Nobody Talks
The people who left never explained what had driven them away so quickly. Reporters called them, wrote to them, and even knocked on their doors for answers. But each one gave the same short reply, or simply said nothing at all. “It’s not for me,” they would murmur, then quietly end the conversation for good.
