Abandoned?
The door at its base was locked tight with a heavy, rusted iron chain. He pressed his face to a window, but saw only darkness within. Which made sense since the woman at the harbor told him the lighthouse had been dark for years. Looking at it now, Will could easily believe it, for it felt abandoned.
