As Tomas flipped over the hatch, which landed to the side with a soft thud in the haystacks, the circling sheep suddenly stopped moving.

They all bleated together, as if agreeing with Tomas’s actions. It was clear that they had circled this way, just so someone would notice this single hatch in the middle of the field.
