Clearing the coast
The coast guard kept the waters closed to boat traffic until every last cable had been removed and the channel declared safe. Only when divers confirmed the seabed was clear did they finally reopen the bay. Bit by bit, the little coastal town returned to the calm, easy rhythm it had always known before.
