No time to lose
John did not hesitate. In the emergency locker he kept a wetsuit and gear, because deep ocean rescue was part of his duty whenever the coast guard could not reach the water in time. He tore the locker open and dragged the wetsuit on over his clothes, his hands moving fast and sure.
