Lasting Change
The petition made its way all the way to the city council for review. Moved by Bella’s incredible story, the council passed new protective measures. Stricter rules now governed fishing nets and required their proper removal. Thanks to one brave seal, the ocean had become a little bit safer for everyone living in it.
