A strange trajectory
Seeing a polar bear swimming was not unusual in itself, since they often crossed open water between ice floes. But this bear was not simply passing by. It was heading straight for the ship, ignoring the nearby ice it could have rested on. “Why is it coming toward us?” a crewman asked uneasily.
