Slowly, the pieces began to fit together in Rosa’s mind. A stray mother dog must have given birth in the quiet shed near the zoo. One of her puppies had wandered off, found the open drain, and crawled into Bruno’s enclosure. Bruno had discovered the lost little one and decided to protect it.
