The Puppy’s Condition
From a distance, the puppy appeared unharmed. Its golden fur was a little dusty, but it moved freely and seemed alert. It did not whimper or struggle to escape. If anything, the small dog looked oddly comfortable, nestled in the warm arms of the gentle primate who had somehow become its protector.
