Pearl’s legacy
Pearl lived at the research center for many years and produced several more healthy clutches of eggs. Each new generation of her offspring was used to help boost wild populations of Goliath frogs across their natural range. Pearl became one of the most genetically important individuals in the entire global Goliath frog conservation program worldwide.
