Together, the two women carefully pried up more tiles across the bathroom floor. With each section they removed, more of the green mass beneath was revealed. The spawn seemed to fill the entire crawl space under her floor, and not just that of Linda’s bathroom. It was as if her entire house was resting on the jiggling mass.
