Out of character
It was strange to see Mr. Fulton act so irritable, almost panicked. In all the years that Harold served him, he never saw Mr. Fulton show any sign of emotion except for the occasional grunt when he was hungry and required dinner. So his sudden protectiveness of this mysterious bulge was very out of character.
