Dramatic change
The entries from the first year were mostly mundane. Business meetings, financial decisions, complaints about the weather. But as Harold reached the entries from twenty years ago, the tone of the writing changed dramatically. Mr. Fulton’s handwriting became messier and more rushed. The entries also became much shorter and more cryptic. And tree was mentioned for the first time.
