A short drive
Mark carefully placed the cardboard box on the passenger seat of his old pickup truck and drove slowly down the winding country road toward the small-town vet. The drive took about twenty minutes, and the fox stayed completely calm and quiet inside the box the entire time. It almost seemed grateful for the rescue.
