Goodbye Kibo
Old Kibo passed away peacefully during the rainy season three years later, surrounded by his daughter, grandchildren, and the elephants he had protected his entire life. Hannah and Juma attended a ceremony beside the stream, where the herd stood silently nearby. Even the young apprentice cried as stories about Kibo filled the valley.
