Helen whispers
Helen leaned toward Mara and whispered a careful observation. “I think the crocodile has watched this place before. Maybe for a long time.” Mara nodded, thinking the same. Some animals had longer memories than humans gave them credit for, and this one had clearly been waiting for the right moment for help.
