Along one wall stood a long row of climate-controlled glass cases. Inside the cases sat very ancient artifacts, small jeweled boxes, old golden coins, folded silk fabrics, and what looked like a few medieval manuscripts.

Every piece had a small printed label right beside it, with careful descriptions of dates and locations.
