Believing the stories
He had heard stories, rare ones, of wild animals seeking help from humans. Dolphins that had guided rescue boats to stranded swimmers. Whales that had approached divers when they were tangled in lines. He had always filed those stories away with a degree of respectful skepticism. But watching this orca now, he started to believe.
