Above each of the buttons and rotors, the Sharpie wording wrote what that particular piece of the panel triggered. One said, ‘Open hatch,’ while another said, ‘Release pod.’

Individually, they could tell nothing of note to the uninformed person viewing this panel for the first time. But together they painted a brave picture of what happened here.
