Clara’s case was convincing, though, so it was time to find out what was inside. They crouched low and slipped one by one into the narrow gap.

Clara went first, feeling the cool stone press against her back, then Sam followed, dragging their packs behind them. The light quickly faded away, and only their headlamps showed a tunnel ahead.
