Step inside
The office door was slightly ajar. Bill knocked once, then stepped inside. Mr. Harrow looked up from his desk with no trace of welcome. “Sit,” he said, pointing at the chair across from him. Bill sat down slowly, confused. The room was silent, except for the soft hum of the ceiling fan overhead.
